Living a full life

Living life to the fullest...this is not a new concept or a new saying.  But many people forget that full living is even an option.  Full living doesn't mean that we pack everything we can into every waking moment.  No, it means that we take what life has given us, and we transform it into something beautiful. We can get so caught up in all the little things, hurrying on to the next task, that we forget to live each moment to its fullest potential. It is so easy to do in this day and age when most everything is based on speed and convenience. Instant gratification. But does that gratification sustain? We begin to look for things and ways to make our lives gratifying.  As we hurry from task to task, we can't simply enjoy what we are doing...we don't have the time! Have you ever finished a big project, maybe renovating a room in your house, or sewing a new outfit, or creating a new recipe? Whenyou are finished, you tend to relax and enjoy the moment, let it sink in that the task you've spent so much time on is now done. But if we are constantly rushing, we don't get to enjoy what we have had a hand in creating.  Or think of it this way...You've just finished redoing that room, put the final touches in the decorations, now you want to invite others over. You want to share the new works you've created.  This is what is in our nature. We want to enjoy life and share beautiful moments with others. And this is what God has called us to do!
